Igor,

This and your other pictures are absolutely outstanding. I can almost reach out and touch the animals. Having once had a Chow mix, your picture brought back many fond memories of this wonderful companion. The present picture is so rich in detail. I am wondering if the fact that you shot it at an ISO of 400 allowed you to capture more textures and information than if you shot at ISO 100.

I recently purchased a Canon EOS 20D kit with the 17-85mm zoom lens. While my pictures are generally pleasing, and were shot under very low light conditions, they seem to be somewhat soft. I would greatly appreciate any comments you have about the relationship between resolution and ISO.
