LARRY DAVID BRADEN

RESTHAVEN CEMETERY, LOYAL KENTUCKY

NEAR HARLAN KENTUCKY

My Mom's parents and other relatives are buried here.
The records keeping is not exactly what it could be.
I was here when my Granddad was laid to rest. Their book
doesn't have him listed at all---anywhere.
Copy if you want but choose
Original size first. It does look a lot better.

My great grandparents are buried there, Steve Malakas (died 1940) and Dora Malakas (died 1946). They are in Block K, Row 10. I have never seen their graves and I am in a wheelchair and live many states away. If any one out there would be in a position to take a photo of their graves and share it, I would be very grateful Thanks.

You can add this photo if you want to, Pat. Hope you find your relatives. I didn't have much luck finding my grandfather's grave. I watched as they buried him next to my grandma and went back years later. No grave stone and they don't even have him listed as being buried here.

Thanks for the beautiful picture. My great grandparents are buried here, and I would love to add this picture to their memorial on Findagrave.

My mother and father, both grandmothers and two of my uncles are laid to rest there. There is a place for me as well when the time comes.I was just there on March 31st. It was very beautiful that day. Had'nt been there in 28 years.

A beautiful place to rest.

My mother was from Kentucky and some of her relatives lived near Harlan. That's prime coal-mining country. Beautiful setting for a cemetery.

The crisp clarity and colors in this shot are really amazing!
You would think accurate record keeping would be a no brainer.

Beautiful place! Can you find the plot?

Do you know where his grave is? If you can find it maybe you can get them to record it. I can't believe they don't keep better records. It is a beautiful place, though!

Ah, so this is where you were. What a shame about the records. Seems like that's an important part of their job...

The open gate beckons. It's a beautiful setting on the gentle green hill. Could your grandfather have been laid to rest in the same grave as another member of the family? I know that they did that at one time in Maryland. The big tree seems like a doorman welcoming in the visitors.

That is amazing that their records could be so bad.
At least you know for sure.

It does look like a beautiful place to be laid to rest Larry.
