I love this neighborhood but your comment hits home, pardon the pun. Twilight Zonish is how I feel going home. My oldest sister and younger brother still live here.
In 2002 I drove across the country to see my hometown (Rochester, NY) for the first time since 1969. I visited the two houses I grew up in. It was both fun and weird: along with sweet memories was the feeling that I did not belong there, somewhat akin to an idea expressed in an episode of The Twilight Zone starring Gig Young ("Walking Distance").
