Corking B&W image, Scott...a strong bold composition, excellently processed.

Indeed there is always someone missing from the Christmas table....

Absolutely beautiful image. The black and white was expertly rendered. The stone in front and wooden fence in back contribute to the feeling of this area as being a place of solemnity and rest. My only issue is that the ground is a little blown out, which perhaps came from your black and white rendering. Did you channel mix or use a filter? Regardless, I love the image.

Thats a really rustic Tomb stone. Your message has some centiment after having just seen off a great Aunt yesterday afternoon.

Powerful image. Yes, it is so much of both. To be thankful for what we have and who we've loved in our lives as well as reflecting on those who have left us. Thankful and blessed to have known them and to have shared a part of our lives. And, celebrating the joy of the birth of Christ and understanding why He died shadows both of what you say here. Makes me realize that there has to be something even greater in store for us one day. That helps me get through the holidays without those loved ones. To know that one day I'll be dancing with them again in heaven!

Yes, very much so. This is a wonderful image, a bit sombre but compelling. V
