Parnassia asarifolia
(Grass-of Parnassus)

Home

A smooth perennial with white blooms at the terminal
ends of wispy 12-18" stalks. Basal leaves are glossy
and smooth with a single sessile leaf near the middle
of the stem. Occasional to rare (in my part of TN).
Found in swamps, bogs, stream slopes and in seepage
slopes (as these were) especially around limestone.
