Sequential scenes in the aftermath of the 2010 flood
taken along the old nature trail in Burns Park. Each
step deeper into the downed trees and debris exposed
new little pieces of the story of peoples' lives
scattered like dandelion seeds in the wind.
The only other time I have seen trees lined up like
dominoes was in my visit to Mt. St. Helens 10 years
after the eruption. To stand in the midst of this
was awe inspiring. The closer I got to the bottom
(the area with the least elevation change from the
river), the thicker the debris got. Before long it
was to thick to push on.
