Sequential scenes in the aftermath of the 2010 flood
taken along the old nature trail in Burns Park. Each
step deeper into the downed trees and debris exposed
new little pieces of the story of peoples' lives
scattered like dandelion seeds in the wind.
This pond did not exist 16 days ago. This was a plane
about 20' above the river. My guess is that it ripped
large trees from the ground and eroded this pit in
swirling water. For those who know the park, it is
between the man-made lake and the river on the down-
stream end of said lake.
