Sitges is a lovely village 35 km south of Barcelona, and it is absolutely worth a visit. Sitges is known for its nice weather. It is a relatively small town. The city has no more than 20,000 inhabitants. If you are going to stay in Barcelona, and are looking for a nice town on the coast, look no further. Sitges is the perfect one day excursion from Barcelona.

With its more than 300 sunny days, Sitges is a secure bet to spend the summer vacations. And you have to know that thanks to its special micro-climate, "Summer" lasts here longer than anywhere else in the area. The waters of Sitges are warm enough to swim from April to October.
