Mahler's grave

Wien - Grinzig cemetery (Austria)

Mahler was buried here. (After his death, the body of his daughter, Maria, who died in 1907, was moved here from Maiernigg.) Gravestone by Joseph Hoffmann. In the adjoining row are the gravestones of Alma Mahler-Werfel (died 1964) and her daughter Manon Gropius (died 1935, the "Angel" of Alban Berg's violin concerto).

Such a scholarly little fellow you are, Frimpong! Such beautiful music from Mahler you chose for us to sample.
