Another thought, depending on when this was taken, Tom may have been reigning National Road champion.

I'm wearing my Nat. Champ. skin suit, which is legal only in the events in which you are one. This is probably not a Team Pursuit, so it must be a pts race. I put the skin suit on for that race only, didn't need to transfer the number from the other suit due to the easy ID of the stars and stripes. Silver/grey bike, TRN (nutrition product sponsor) badge on head tube means 1982, which makes sense for the skin suit, which Robert Burney made for me after winning '81 Pts race Natz. Sorry Jim, but I think this is my Kellogg, painted in Centurion colors. I hope I beat Tom here, he always beat me on the road and I tried to make up for it on the track.

John is riding a bike I made for him using Tange Aero tubing. He was going to it for the Olympics but it Jimmy Carter said USA could not go. John then gave it back to me!
