John, you should have ridden in with them, contesting the sprint, and then insisted you hadn't been lapped!

I got an unofficial 17th in that race...the last finisher. My dad argued with the official to put me on the finisher's list because I was almost lapped by LeMond and Bradley. Nearing their finish (one to go for me) I pulled off the road to let them by so that I wouldn't be coming through just in front (or caught in the middle of) their finishing sprint. So it looked like I had been lapped, but that's only because I'm such a nice guy (or didn't want to chance being blamed for interfering with the winning sprint)
