The Winter Gardens

The Winter Gardens.
Now home to 'The Isle of Bute Discovery Centre'
if you go inside it tells you all the history of the island :-)

Busy day today for the cameras,
took loads of pics and have just sat for 3hrs uploading them :-/
(broadband not on the island yet)

Back when I was a young 'un, this was the premier concert centre. I used to be a member of the Ella Wilson Gang Show (when I was 10), and I had to sing Charlie is my Darling to busloads of pensioners every Friday and Saturday during the summer. I even won a medal from Radio Clyde for my singing - in this very building.
