Unfortunately it is the same story in Bangor NI, they have downsized twice and now moved to a smaller unit. Their prices are way above the local Asda and like shops. Pity as they used to an institution with the "divvy".

Oh dear - assuming prices are the same throughout the group, then the Co-op is going to come last. Here in the burbs (of Glasgow) its prices are all 10% and more above Asda, Tesco, and Morrisons, which surround it. Last year, the local Co halved its floorspace by selling cutting its purpose built building in two with a dividing wall, leaving space for a dental practice and a betting shop to set up new business. It's alarming to walk around the Co and look at the prices, as it simply does not even try and compete or even price-match with other three. Even stuff 'Reduced For Quick Sale' can still cost more than fresh stock in the others.
