The Autumn Leaves
The falling leaves drift by my window
The falling leaves of red and gold
and a little something we found in our car

250 years of Mozart's music...
The composer's brief and turbulent life began Jan. 27, 1756
in the Austrian city of Salzburg.
Here is a sample from one
of his often played piano sonatas
as you probably know, Wolfgang started composing
from the age of 4, although young students these
days find his music challenging to play.
Here is a shot of our younger granddaughter's
hands poised over my piano

Sunlight on the green...
As I walked the footpath through a section of the valley
this tree shedding leaves caught my eye and the sward
of green the other side "grass is always greener..."
and here's someone's driveway I passed on my walk
there's 2 shots taken of it, although the lighting
was better in the other photo,
I prefer the comp of this one.

The local pub
A bit of a long step from where we live, but it
is the closest pub, very close to where 2 of
our daughter's live with their little families.
Here's another shot

In the shadows...
Two contrasting pieces today - shadows and sunlight.
Not much time for the camera today, I'm taking
Dick out to see the Harp Consort playing Spanish Music!

Lest we forget ...
Someone left these beautiful roses at the foot of the
memorial cross at this morning's Dawn Service
and someone else left this simple
little twig of Rosemary
For more ANZAC photos the
twig of Rosemary
will take you there.

Reflections
Entertaining the grandkids again
we had all 6 today so Dick
packed a picnic lunch and
we took the footballs
and had a relaxing time watching
them play footy.
Another reflective shot of B-H creek

Pelican on the Murray
This bird let me walk up to within a metre
or so to take this shot
The Murray is our only decent sized river
Here's a sign that hung from the
side of the carriage of the cockle train
that I took photos of - refer to
yesterday's PAD to see the little train.

The Cockle Train
The engine coming to pull the Cockle Train.
This little train choofs between 3 beaches during
school holidays, public holidays and weekends
during the days when there isn't a fire restriction.
P.S. I think the driver let the steam off
especially for me!
Here's the fellow adding more coal to the engine
a close up of the lamp
and at the station
We've been entertaining grandkids all day today...

Pathways
A popular suburban shopping area, we had
to park a fair way down the road
and walk, which was quite
interesting and pleasant.
Another view while walking

Suburban chicane
We've been out and about today, on the
way home we drive through this chicane
to avoid another more difficult route.
We called in at some shops and had
the opportunity of shooting these
autumn leaves.
