Baby koala fending for itself...
the mother was nowhere in sight...I walked around to see if I could find her
and think I heard her call out to her baby from one of the other trees.
I'm hoping they're okay, the baby looked far too small to be fending for
itself yet and would be no match for a dog... This is where I wish I had
a zoom lens, the baby was in the tree nearest the back balcony, JUST out of
range of my tamron lens - I put it onto auto and people,
perhaps I should have used distance? No time
to set up the tripod, the baby started climbing down
when he saw me.

Garden spider
I'm always finding little extras amongst the petals of the roses.
This one was trying to hide amongst Marie-Luis Marjan...

Eggs on a pittosporum leaf
Discovered these quite by accident, they
were hiding under the leaf...and we have
no idea who they belong to!
The whole patch of eggs spreads for 7mm,
and doesn't even reach a centimetre.

Beetle
I had a job getting this shot, it wouldn't stand still
so I had to chase it around with my camera.
I have no idea what sort of beetle it is.
