New William Shakespeare

A replacement rose to the original William Shakespeare rose bred
by David Austin. We had the original but it died out and we
replaced it with this 2nd edition, but I don't think its quite as
nice as the original (which no doubt has been culled).

(Oil paint finish)

A beautiful presentation. I like that there is just a gentle processing.

You are obviously a rose expert. I am curious. Why would they allow an established variety of rose be "culled" particularly when the subsequent version is not liked as much.? You can tell I am quite ignorant of such matters. :o)
