Lamb Shanks - 13

Dick cooked these yesterday and took a couple out for a photo. We're heading off for a
few days and this will be the meal Monday night. Just think of me, a vegetarian, sitting
amongst 3 men enjoying these shanks - I think I'll need my ear plugs! The two men
accompanying us are widowers who recently lost their wives....as a matter of fact, they are
from a group of four men who taught at the same school, and we have been friends for 45
years. I am the only wife still alive from that group, a sobering thought!

I'm not sure what Dick will cook to go with the shanks - most probably mashed potato
beans and something else, maybe sweet potato & pumpkin?

My husband loves lamb shanks. I say... let them eat meat but save the potatoes for me! You have certainly made this look delicious.

great image Yvonne... you've made a lot of people hungry. I don't eat lamb but I might be tempted to try it if it was presented to me like this. V

I feel with you Yvonne, commenting on meat, fish and chicken dishes isn't easy. I try to look at the composition. And this one is also very nice

Looks delicious though I do not eat lamb. You can eat the potatoes and beans. You're not only a surviving wife but you have a husband who cooks!!!!!!!!! Maybe that's why you've survived.

They look delicious

Yep, I'm an omnivore also. This delicious looking dish has been well photographed. One of my favourite question for young vegetarians is there thoughts on carniverous plants.:)

Having a vegetarian wife has turned him into a fine chef as these look superb...one of my faves Dick !! I bet it's creamy mashed potatoes & beans...does he ever peel very fine shreds of sweet potato( done with the vegie peeler ) then dip them quickly into hot oil until they're crisp & serve on top as a garnish...they are really beautiful.

Delicious looking shanks Yvonne. Photographing meat is above and beyond the call of duty, for a vegetarian
