The David Austins are always amongst the first roses in spring ... the garden normally
peaks in November when all the ancient and modern roses bloom together with clematis
and late bearded iris - but this year (2004) they're early.

The roses are in their late summer flush...the quality will diminish during February-March
when we usually have long spells of dry hot days.
