Skopje (Скопје)

Capital and largest city of Macedonia, set upon a plain along the Vardar River at the foot of Mt. Vodno. Devastated by a 6.1 earthquake in 1963, it's now a homely and schizophrenic mix of space-age 1960s concrete and stone Ottoman architecture.
