Mountain Bluebird Sialia Currucoides

WY, Yellowstone National Park

Coming down from Mount Washburn we saw a great many of these beautiful birds. They hardly ever
rest anywhere for a long time, drop down from their elevated perches and hover for a second over
their prey before they strike, then select a new perch. This one sat on a road marker for the
winter ploving, the marker itself (orange plastic) got replaced in Gimp with something more 'natural'.
