Osprey Pandion Haliaetus

NY, Oceanside MNSA

... the two Ospreys were feeding their chicks when a few people walked by
their nest and scared them away. Instead of leaving the fish in the nest
they saved the food from the people and left the chicks behind. Should
they know that their chicks aren't suppossed to eat unprocessed (i.e.
un-regurgitated) food?
