The Salt Works

A 9,000 acre solar salt production facility operated by Cargill Salt. Solar salt can only be harvested in the unique areas where shore topography, salt water, sun and wind combine to create salt ponds that yield their crystal rewards. The finished salt products are loaded onto ships at the Salt Pier.

The Pink Bus travels to specific dive sites during the week and offers SCUBA divers snacks, drinks, and emergency dive gear parts. They also have T-shirts and postcards for sale.
