April 25, 2007 - Columbine

Cloudy today with showers and storms expected. Highs again in the mid 70s. I am expecting a busy day today, so I posted this one that I took yesterday. Once again, I was working with a shallow DOF, but liked the colors of this one. These are beautiful flowers, and although this one was domesticated, it is very similar to the native columbines we have here in West Virginia.

I was wondering if these were blooming as I haven't seen them yet this year. One of my most favorite showy wildflowers well captured. V. Btw, I know what a challenge they are always bobbing in the breeze. :)
