The main theater under the dome is amazing. As luck would have it, reconstruction/restoration was in progress during my visit. The metal scaffolding allowing the restoration crews access to the underside of the dome can be clearly seen on the right. The results of earlier restoration of the interior decor can be seen as well as areas ripe for future restoration.
