Sorry forgot to add my name for the comment below. I too took several photos of truck after truck lined up with mature Podocarp tree trunks on board. Just staggering. The vast amount of palm oil plantations also horrified me and I endeavour not to consume anything containing it but it's very difficult. It's added to almost everything we eat. But why?

I saw this same thing when I visited Danum back in 2008. It's going on day after day. I wonder whether there is anything left. Makes me just feel sick.
