My project gun, or one of them. The reflex kit was made by Boston Paintball Supply (BPS) back in 1998 and debuted at Skyball '99 to a lot of interest, but not a lot of sales. The reflex kit never gained popularity due to its high price (around $500 for just the kit itself) and tournament illegality, which was rapidly followed by banning it at many fields. Its rather funny that this was banned but ramping dwell boards that don't stop shooting after you take your finger off the trigger are still condoned and accepted. This system works like the more familiar Tippmann RT in many ways, the Tippmann kit is a direct descendent. Palmers has also a built an rt system for their blazer, however, it has never been fully revealed or marketed.

When I bought this kit it claimed to be a new never used kit with all parts. I am not so sure they didn't stretch the truth a bit. Its missing a few parts, though nothing that shouldn't be easily replaceable, just annoying that its missing and it shows some indication that they might have tried to install it in the past. It did come with an extra on off and ram though as well as the all important instruction book (which seems to be something of a greater rarity then the kit itself).

This has a long way to go to be up and running, but its my summer project. BPS has talked about re-releasing this kit with a new metal T fitting, but I have the feeling it won't happen. There are supposedly around twenty kits left at BPS that are nearly complete, and another dozen or so supposedly in circulation. Firepro and Thomas who's pages I have linked to both have reflex kits in their collections, Thomas even has a video of it in action. I know of two others around as well; most of the rest are probably in the hands of sponsored team members or in Europe. Regardless its a piece of cocker history I or any other self respecting cocker freak couldn't pass up and goes extremely well in the collection.

The body is one of the last twister bodies to leave BPS, it was found in storage still in early '05. I missed out on it when it was offered up, then the owner of it decided to sell it. not letting it go a second time I snatched it on the same day I found the reflex kit on ebay. Luck be the lady that day. The kit is an actual full twister, and not a lite like my sandridge was.

You'll immediately notice that the gun is by no means complete, but I will be working on it. The stock reflex bolt is for the full pre 2k block, so I needed something different for the P block. The jam bolt is essentially the same in most ways as you can see by the side-by-side pics.
