It appears this is the perspective of the Jefferson Memorial that
President Obama should see when looking South from inside the White House.
I think the two structures were arranged relative to one another precisely so
the person occupying the WH would be encouraged to look back at Jefferson and
reflect upon his ideals, written in stone in his memorial; chief among these, being:
"TO SECURE THESE RIGHTS, Governments are instituted among men..."
