These bald eagles were photographed on the Mohawk River in Niskayuna, NY. An individual from the NY Fish and Wildlife Services thought that the birds were approximately four years old as of August, '09. The silver and blue banded eagle is a male from NY, while the larger gold banded eagle is a female possibly from MA. The students of Rosendale Elementary School have named them "Rosie" and "Patriot".
