11 - 12 min. exposures with the Q453HR/QHY8 color CCD camera at Gain 1, Offset 110 (default). Telescope: TEC-140 (980mm, f/7) and no focal reducer, yielding 980mm, f/7; Astro-Tech 2" field flattener. Mount: Losmandy G11. Focused using a Bahtinov focus mask. Post processing: bad pixel removal in Nebulosity2 using 5 dark frames (threshold 339); 72 bias frames and 21 flat frames applied, debayered, aligned, stacked and DDP in ImagesPlus 3.75 (Auto Image Set Processing). Curves in Nebulosity2 and color balanced in ImagesPlus. NeatImage noise reduction. Final contrast, brightness and slight sharpening in ThumbsPlus. Image cropped from original of 3040 x 2016 to 1661 x 1240.
The glow in the upper right corner is from the bright star Phecda, in the bowl of the Big Dipper.
