Rick... All gyms are different, but start with your 85 f/1.8 at ISO 1600. 1/400 sec at f/1.8 and make adjustments with your shutter speed till you have if right.

Wingspar,
You take great pix!....what do you use for lenses? What ISO do you shoot at?

I am an amature photographer shooting my daughter's high school basketball...mostly lousy lighting and no flash allowed.

I have a canon 30D...lenses 70-200 2.8 IS.....and 85mm 1.8

Thank you.

brennan.... The sports galleries that are password protected are for newspaper use only. The Public Sports galleries are the same photos as the password protected galleries. As per the paper’s request, I must wait until the season for that sport is over before I can post the public galleries. Someday before too long, I will be separating them so that it won’t be confusing for people, and they won’t see the password protected galleries at all anymore. If you want more info, you can submit the form on my web site athttp://www.garysdigitalphotography.com and I can share more info via webmail. Gary

Why are some of your sports photos viewable and some not?
wingspar22-Nov-2005 18:23
Sorry, these galleries are not viewable by the public.

May I please have the password to all your sports albums. Just starting, trying to learn as much as possible about angles, lighting, etc during sporting shots particularly indoors.

Dave.... Thanks for looking at my galleries and commenting. You will have fun with your Pbase account. Looks like a long road trip from Washington to Utah.

wingspar,
I have commented on your images as a guest. Now I have my own account. It contains about 200 images of a road trip from the Seattle area to Moab, Utah. I'm slowly adding more images. Have a look: http://www.pbase.com/listorama ----Dave

May I have your permission to link two of your Cape Blanco photos to my www.homebythesea.com website?
We have doing B&B on the southern coast for 17 years now and provide shuttle service for our guests who choose to land at the Cape Blanco Airport.
Thank you for your consideration,
Alan

What would data analysis have to do with a baseball photo?
Joshua 06-Mar-2005 16:42
Dear wingspar,
I am an undergraduate at the University of South Carolina. I am preparing a presentation about data analysis and ran across an image on your site:http://www.pbase.com/image/28299714
I was wondering if it would be possible to use this in my presentation.
Thank you for your time
Josh
