February in Michigan

Is this my first winter shot of 2008? I think it is. That's what happens when I get obsessed with my portfolio work. It doesn't matter what's going on around me; all I see is what my inner eye shows me. For two months that's been dualities and nudes. But today (Saturday) I had to get away from my computer and see what was going on with Lake St. Clair. Frozen in ice, that's what it's doing. But March is less than two weeks away and March brings hints of spring, even in northern states like Michigan. This winter is going by so fast. Does it feel that way to you too? Can you believe we go back on Daylight Savings Time on March 9th this year? My Eddie's birthday. Nice gift!

Hi Patricia,
sometimes it is hard to believe that other parts of this country are still in the claws of winter. My first daffodils are blooming and the roses are sprouting. For me, Spring is the best time of the year even though here in California we of course don't really have cold winters.

Lovely image,
Best to you, Meggi

I love winter but at this time of year I get a little tired of it. This is an exquisite shot of it with the horizon so carefully positioned. Winter's on the ropes, I guess.

Amazingly cold. What a wondeful image capturing the streaked sky and froaen lake. The lines work well.

In my PaD today I talked about how this winter hasn't been that bad. It really has flown by. great shot. I love the Great Lakes, even when they're covered.
