Emerson Matabele, photographer

This is a photo I took on Saturday of a man who is usually behind the camera not in front of it. Emerson Matabele's photos look into the souls of people because he is a clear channel for love. Sorry if that sounds a bit "new-agey" but it's true. Check out his web site and see for yourself.

I first met Emerson at a festival in Maryland and was captivated by photos. I met him again at the Ft Worth's Main Street Festival. He is such a delight! Such a giving soul. I have four of his pictures and always get compliments regarding them. He is able to capture the heart, joy of his subjects.

Patricia, I feel a warm kinship with you and others who have recognized our Creator's light within this good man. I've visited with Emerson when buying his works and have been drawn into his eyes, where one can see the loving compassion of God. And talking with him is like being in the presence of Peace. No wonder he captures the essence of people so beautifully, and chooses just the right quotation to convey the messages that I hear God wanting to convey. His art is truly a ministry to the world. I met him at an art festival in Ft. Myers last Saturday. His photos are beautiful, but when I went to purchace my photo to take home, his eyes were so spiritual. I needed $5 for change, he gave me a $10. He didn't have change. I got the extra money and a hug. Quite the special guy. Pat from Massachussetts

I used to see Emerson a dozen years ago behind the Museum of Natural History @ the Amsterdam Ave Fairs in NYC - I was lucky enough to acquire several of his images.

I was blessed with meeting Emerson at the art shoe in Des Moines, Iowa. The meeting is to always be treasured along with the work of his that I got.
