Funny how some things stick in your mind. I remember when Mary Ellen Mark was looking at my self portrait/daily life portfolio last August, one of her comments was," You need a dog or cat in this series." When I said, "But we don't have one." She replied, "Then get one!"
So, thanks to my friend Pat Kolon, I can finally make MEM happy...if only for four days.
Now, if you'd asked me on Monday if I was going to get some pics of Tito to add to the project I now call, "Falling Into Place," I would have had to say it was unlikely. I wanted it to happen, mind you, but Tito was not cooperating. In fact I hadn't seen him since Pat had left our house on Sunday night. Tito was in serious hiding, especially from me. This wasn't terribly surprising because whenever I'd visit Pat's apartment, poor Tito would be spooked as hell by my scooter. So here he was in a strange house, away from his loved ones, and face-to-face with the feared scooter. Not a great start to my getting portraits of this beautiful creature.
But today (Tuesday), he ventured out of hiding and joined me in the kitchen for lunch. Then he came out again after dinner and sat with me while I watched TV in the kitchen and then finished watching a DVD in the den. He even settled into my scooter seat for awhile. Brave kitty!
So this is the first of possible cat pics for the project. Let's see what happens tomorrow...
