A Nice Place For Breakfast

Notice the Lily-the-cat-destroyed, once-beautiful-and-now-disfigured berry wreath on the dutch door. What's the point of replacing it? She'd destroy the next one, too.

Kitchen Beast

My Thermador, six burner, dual fuel 'professional' range. The top is gas, the oven is electric convection. This stove is a nightmare. It cost a small fortune, and since we bought it one year ago, it has been repaired NINE times! My old GE Profile wall oven didn't need a new element until it was 30 years old!! I think it's finally OK now. It IS kind of pretty. I'm not sure why, but men in particular seem to love this monster cooker! It could have been worse. We could have bought the eight burner!!!

We made this make-shift stove so I could still boil water!

You made it look simple, which I know was not. I was in Bend 2 weeks ago. I've been working for company there for 20 yrs. Pozzi Windows which now under Jeld-Wen. I usually visit 3 to 4 times a years on business. I just recently moved to NJ/shoreline from California. So you see my pictures are from all over, I travel to states here NY,NJ,Pa,Ct and Boston monthly. My camera usually rights shot gun and photograph whatever I can. Living in Bend, is a less expensive than here. Town has really changed in the last 10 yrs and housing has too! ($$$). Well, keep in touch and thanks for the nice comments..Chuck

Willa I am a professional remodeler and do this to other people for a living. (yes, my name has been said in vain more than once). Actually, we do nice work, but it is always grueling. Cheers. You deserve some of that wine hanging on the wall. If it's any consolation, my wife and I have been remodeling a 50 yr old home for the last four years and still have our final piece de resistance to go: the kitchen, of course. Enjoyed these pictures, Willa! The hard work of renovation is always worth it in the long run - especially if the end result is as cosy and inviting as your kitchen! I can empathize with you, though - we did our kitchen a while ago and it was hell! It's still not finished...but that's another story!! Well done, again!
