Geez. I guess it's time to vacuum the garden shed windows/sills...

Putting these things on the windowsill does help them to ripen, rather than leaving them in the garden to the insects ~ and they are really delicious when they're ready, unless you like them breaded and fried. Salad anyone?

Love this shot. Growing up in the southern area of the United States I am apt to slice thin, dip in some cornmeal and fry them as well. Fried green tomatoes. Although too there is nothing that can compare to a ripe red tomatoe sandwich. Ummm, perhaps I should grow tomatoes next year.
