There's a Fall Creek (this one) and a Falls Creek in SC and both have waterfalls. This is the one in Oconee County that empties into the Chattooga River. I had been to the waterfall pictured here before a couple of times and Harry and I had seen the one right where the creek empties into the river, but there was a nice one in between that we hadn't seen. Bernie hadn't either and it was his idea to do this trip today. Nice choice Bernie!
The SC waterfalls book by Brooks/Cook that I have listed the 2 mile stretch of creek as a difficult bushwhack, but we figured it couldn't be anything worse than others we have done. We parked on the forest road right next to the creek and descended the steep bank to the base of the first waterfall. It's 30-40' high.
