Today was a beautiful day to be outside! The Green River Cove Trail was on my to do list and I figured today would be a perfect day to do it. I was hoping for wildflower shots and I wasn't disappointed. I wasn't exactly sure where the trail head was, so I parked on this side of the bridge 1st and walked down the trails to the river. Turns out I needed to be on the other side of the bridge, but I did spot this flower that I didn't think I had ever seen. I looked it up when I got back and it's one-flowered broomrape. None of the green in the picture belong to the flower. It lacks chlorophyll and lives as a parasite.
