This is a wonderful place. Thanks for turning me on to it. I made the hike from 281 to 107 yesterday, twice! long, long story. The falls were unexpected, especially after checking a map.
I didn't believe it either, Brad. Bernie had sent me a video link of some kayakers running this when the river was gushing. I thought 'that ain't Whitewater!', but it is! The topo really doesn't show it. I don't know when I'll have time to do the write up on my site with full directions, but find SR1103 off of Hwy 107 south of Silver Run Falls. Take that gravel road, avoiding the driveways, until you get to the bridge. Park here and walk back up the road a short ways to the 'welcome' sign tacked on the tree. Walk down that drive a short ways to the refrigerator and hang a left up the hill. Then try to follow that trail down river maybe 1/4 mile. A small drainage leads you down to the river to some bedrock above this cascade.
