The sandy lane leaves the ruins and passes by some support buildings that are now used by the Park Service. It then comes to this boardwalk over a marshy area. There were a very few white egrets and blue herons within view, but I didn't get any shots worth showing. Cindy, on the other hand, captured several keepers. Here are a couple -
