We had just enough time to eat and head up to the Parkway for a sunset. The plan was to hike up to the Fryingpan Mountain fire tower, but the weather looked iffy when we got to the parking area. Getting wet on a fire tower didn't appeal to either one of us, so we opted to continue south to the Cowee Mountains overlook - again. I'll get a decent sunset from here eventually by gawd. This is what we had to work with when we got there at 8PM.
