Today's adventure with Cindy was to be in the Highlands area. I had a few places in mind, but we were mostly going to play it by ear and see what happened. From west Asheville, I take I-40 to the Waynesville exit, then on to Franklin and on to Hwy 64 east through the Cullasaja Gorge towards Highlands. The beautiful Cullasaja Falls is along that stretch of road, but the small pull off is very dangerous place. It's even worse than the last time I was there because of the huge chunks of asphalt that have broken off. We got lucky - there wasn't any traffic behind us and there was no one pulled over. We only snapped a few shots off before heading on to Dry Falls.
