The Foothills Parkway ends after 6 miles at TN32. To get to the trail head, turn left, drive a mile or so, then turn right on TN321 towards Gatlinburg. Drive 11.8 miles and turn left on to Greenbrier Rd immediately after crossing the bridge over the Little Pigeon River. Then drive 3.1 miles, turn left over the bridge and proceed another 1.5 miles to the parking area. The hike is moderate to difficult depending on what shape you are in and what you are carrying. As you can see, it's 4 miles, but what the sign doesn't say is that the trail gains more than 2,000' in elevation. The good thing is that it's downhill all the way back.
