About half way up I met a couple of folks coming down the trail. They were locals and we had a nice chat about the area. I continued up and noticed a side trail to the left leading out to this rocky area that reminded me of some of the high areas of Panthertown Valley. Except I don't recall seeing any yucca plants in Panthertown.
