We could see Middle Prong from where we were, then Hal noticed vehicle traffic across from it. We had noticed what appeared to be the trail continuing across the Spruce Flats Branch, so we crossed to check it out. This appeared to be the only safe way to see the bottom section of the waterfall. Once across, a steep goat trail led down to the base.
