We got up early Saturday morning and were back at the Porters Creek trail head by 7am. There was only one other vehicle in the parking area. Since I spent time goofing around yesterday, I figured we would just head to the waterfall without stopping (much) to look at everything else. The waterfall is about 2 miles in and is in a setting that pictures just can't do justice to. Fern Branch crosses the trail and the waterfall sits back up among a jumble of moss and fern covered rocks and boulders. Stonecrop - a sedum - covered many of the surfaces.
