I passed some people on my way back down and found several vehicles now in the parking area. I ate lunch while watching more people pull in and head up the trail. Many didn't appear to be dressed for the biting wind. The clouds looked like they could begin breaking soon, so I covered back up and made my way back up. Then lo and behold - the sun began peeking through and I could see some blue! You can see from the foot prints how deep some of the snow was.
