A remarkable travel image, Shirley. Your low vantage point abstracts the tourists as they descend the steps, and at the same time raises the Temple of Heaven towards the cloud that drifts overhead. The flow of the cloud is repeated in the carvings on the huge tablet that dominates the center of the image. Centering the subject generally makes a static image. But in this case, your centered placement expresses the idea more powerfully.
