Typical juniper-and-sagebrush mountains of Pocatello. While some north-facing slopes offer vegetation that belong to more humid conditions, such as fir and aspen, much of Pocatello's mountain plants are of semi-arid area varieties. Famous flowers (not shown in this photo) that grow in such semi-arid high-altitude desert areas include arrowleaf balsamroot, bigleaf balsamroot, and Munro's globe-mallow. Photo taken with a DJI Phantom II Vision quadcopter equipped with its own camera.
