(Or jumping on Angela's misty bandwagon!)
I actually didn't want to use this as my PotD. For the last 45 or so days I've been using a 28mm focal length for everything. I've been amazed at what is possible with what is in reality a 'normal' lens on the 300D. This evening, we jumped in the car and headed up to Minions, only about 2 miles around the roads, but you get wonderful views to the west from high up on the moor, and we thought we might see a sunset. Instead, the top of the moor was up in the clouds and mist, with some very strange light. We followed the mist down the hill, to a place probably no more than 1/2 mile north of home. I borrowed Linda's telephoto and grabbed this as the light faded. It had to be PotD. So, for a change, here's a landscape picture, and one shot with an abnormal lens. I wonder if Peterri would approve...
