This series of drawings was inspired by an exercise in the Open Studio of the Digital Art Academy to draw a Siren. I decided to put to use some real media drawings I had done at the Princes Drawing School in London (to be found elsewhere in this site) of a beautiful small she-goat and a young pig - yes they were corralled in a pen on some plastic sheeting in the studio. I also pressed into service some of my drawings from the live model, also posted in other galleries.

As I started to sketch my goat siren, imagination took wing and I ended up with more than one sketch.

Roland and Caprette (derived from Capra, latin for a female goat) had the misfortune when of tender age to be cursed with animal heads. This particular curse could only be escaped by dancing their way back to normal. But the dance had to be truly exceptional.

Roland and Caprette decided to take dancing lessons as this seemed to offer the best chance of becoming good enough to overcome the curse.
